Fantastic evening with Klaus (Montana) performing at a family birthday party. Klaus was very quick with communication and kept us informed ahead of the party. On the day, Klaus arrived at the agreed time for set up and was very friendly, and flexible with the area that we had planned for the performance. The music was great, and I had many people through the night say what a great performance Klaus gave, which included a lot of dancing at the end of the night. Would definitely recommend and wanted to say thanks again for helping make the party a great success :)

Klaus performed as Montana Acoustic for my Birthday celebration and it was just such a brilliant night. He played a great selection of songs and interacted so brilliantly with all ages of people there. He sang Harry Styles for me and my friends but also was able to do some 60's music for my mum and dad. It was such a lot of fun and he really made the night. I would have no reservation in recommending him for any party or social event. Honestly, so so good!

We booked Klaus for part of our wedding reception / evening do, and he was brilliant. Not just in terms of vocal and playing ability, both of which are superb, but also his repertoire. From The Beatles to Bob Marley, from Buddy Holly to the Divine Comedy, his set list is catholic and diverse. But what makes him so special, in our view, is the way he can read the room, and dip into his ‘rattle bag’ of tunes in order to tailor the songs to the mood, as it were. My nan was delighted when he played ‘Here Comes the Sun’, one of her all-time favourites. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again, and I shall do so. Highly commended!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients always comment on the ease of dealing with me prior to the event and on the night of the performance. I have an easy going nature and am always flexible. I understand the potential stress of organising events and so I aim to be the calm in the storm.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed in bands and as a solo artist at major theatres and venues across the UK and Europe including Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Windsor. Gig venues including the indigO2, The Albert Hall, and the famous Abbey Road studios.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am a huge fan of all styles of music. If it's a great song, then i will love it. Some of my major influences are Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Crowded House, James Taylor, Ben Folds but I am joyfully happy playing songs from Abba to ZZ Top and everything in between.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Performing as the lead role of Buddy Holly in the West End Show at the Strand Theatre in London's West End. Since then I have performed at most major UK venues for corporate gigs and as a session musician and backing vocalist with Joss Stone, Jocelyn Brown, Hamish Stuart (Average White Band).

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

With a great deal of experience playing at functions, corporate parties and gigs, I understand that timings can change on the day and I will always do my best to accommodate any last minute alterations.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

It's a popular option to have music before and between sets as it creates a seamless switch between live and recorded music. You can create your own Spotify playlist to share with me or i can create one in the style and genre of your event. There is no additional cost for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

I typically set up around 1 hour before the performance and can provide backing music through the PA to help build an atmosphere as your guests arrive. I am happy to set up earlier if this fits in with your planning.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set list is carefully create on the night based on the atmosphere, the demographic of the audience, and many years of experience about how to gauge a room. However, I am always flexible and open to discuss before the day or on the night. It is my aim to ensure that you have the best possible event so I will always flex and flow depending on your needs.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I am completely self contained. Instruments, PA, microphones and monitoring are all included.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

There may be a chance that I might know your special song even though it doesn't appear on my setlist. So with enough prior warning I am happy to learn additional 'pre requests'.
