Monelise

With a sound that has been described as resembling "a Kate Bush soundtrack to a David Lynch film", Monelise has attained millions of online streams, intrigued tastemakers all over the world and earned 5-star reviews for her live show "Hauntology" at the Edinburgh Fringe. She is also regularly supported by BBC Introducing and has toured with Sofar Sounds. She supplements her haunting sound universe with unique, experiential merchandise like "soul paintings". Monelise began her Masters studies in Popular Music at Goldsmiths University (James Blake, Rosie Lowe) in 2018. It was here that she created and premiered her live show "Hauntology", which was subsequently toured to the Edinburgh Fringe 2019. Attending press described Monelise’s live performance of "Hauntology" as “a haunting, stunning musical performance in which the performer and audience become one” (The Wee Review). Between 2020-2022, Monelise released a series of singles including “Clockwork Heart”, "Insane" and "Silver Lake", all of which have steadily circulated through thousands of Spotify playlists. During this time period, Monelise also developed as a professional songwriter and co-wrote songs for rising international artists including John Linhart and Joan Alasta. Her latest venture "Sanctify My Love" is an ambitious studio album supplemented by her self-designed oracle cards and channeled paintings.
