Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Previous clients have told me that they love the unique blend of voice and cello. They appreciate how versatile the cello can be, from classical to modern songs, and how the vocals add a personal, memorable and an emotional touch.
For me, it’s all about connecting with people and making the music feel meaningful to them.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Clients love the unique blend of voice and cello, creating a rich, soulful sound that feels elegant and heartfelt. I move easily between genres, tailoring music to every occasion. Highlights include Ronnie Scott’s, the Barbican, Edinburgh and Camden Festivals, and tours across Europe, each venue bringing its own magic to share through song.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
I admire Ayanna Witter-Johnson, whose artistry as a cellist-singer showed me how powerful the instrument can be when paired with voice. Fleetwood Mac inspire my love of harmony and texture, while Carole King and Eva Cassidy remind me to sing with honesty. These influences shape my performances into something heartfelt, versatile, and personal.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
One of the most high-profile gigs I’ve performed was on the main stage at the Barbican, which was such an incredible experience to play in such an iconic venue. Though each of the opportunities, that I have had over the years, have helped with my career and been such a joy to share the cello and voice with such talented musicians and diverse audiences.
Do you have different line-up options?
I am a cellist and a vocalist there is not many of those around.
However, I do have the option to extend to string duo and a vocal band.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs smoothly as possible. Therefore, I will ensure that everything is in place for the perfect day and if anything changes slightly in the run up to the event, just let me know (7 days prior the event).
How much time do you need to set up?
I usually ask about 30 mins to an 1hour before the performance time. As soon as the performance space is ready I can provide an atmosphere to which your guests can enjoy.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My set list is crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure that you and the guests enjoy and have an amazing time. However, I am happy to chat through in advance and make sure that I find what works for your event.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes absolutely. I bring all my own instrument to play acoustically.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
If a song isn’t included in the song list there may be a chance that I already know it. If there is a special song you’d like me to learn and arrange (4 weeks prior to event) I am happy to do so. Depending on how advanced the piece is there will be a service charge of £50 to take into account of arranging and rehearsal time.
