Ministry of Soul are the best choice for your event. Not only do we perform great music to the highest standard but we ensure everyone has fun too. Your guests will be talking about what a great evening of entertainment they had at your event for years to come. In fact, we have just been awarded the accolade of best wedding band in our home town of Nottingham! We are a 9 piece band covering soul, motown and disco classics from 60s (such as Stevie Wonder and James Brown) to the present day (such as Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars) which everyone knows and won’t be able to stay seated for. We don't just perform though, we get you and your audience involved be it singing along, dancing on tables or even inviting willing participants up on to the stage with us! We specialise in weddings and our 17 year history means we are completely reliable and know exactly how to make sure the party is started right and continues through the night. For a small additional fee, we can also provide a DJ to keep the party going between our sets. Rest assured, our attention to detail, musicianship and professional management approach will leave you with the confidence to relax to think about everything else on the big day, knowing the entertainment is sorted.

Ministry of Soul.... well what can i say. These guys are absolutely superb. Hired them for our wedding and we were not disappointed... the ladies vocals are outstanding and they are backed up by a great band. If you are looking for motown and soul for any occasion these are the ones to chose. Thank you to Lyndsay abd rest of the band. Five star experience

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Consistent feedback from clients is that we ensured everyone danced, sang and had a great time. Clients often tell us their friends still talk about us several years down the line.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes unless in the case of an extreme emergency where they cannot attend. This has never happened in our history that I can recall. If that did happen, we have a bank of trusted musicians and performer friends we would use to replace them.

Do you have different line-up options?

No. Our line up includes 3 singers, saxophone, trumpet, drums, bass, keys and guitar.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are happy to be as flexible as we can regarding timings.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We provide a full DJ service. Not just an iPod or laptop but a real, experienced party DJ with a booth and lighting effects.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ideally we require 2 hours in order to set up the PA, the 9 piece band, DJ booth and lighting and to do a comprehensive sound check to ensure the best sound for your event. We can work with less time though so can discuss this upon booking.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Whilst we are happy to share a set list with you, we feel it spoils it if you know what’s coming. Trust that we know what we are doing and rest assured every song we do is a floor filling classic that everyone will know and love.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. Our fee is all inclusive of band, DJ, PA, lighting and travel costs

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We have learnt first dance songs for weddings and would be open to discussing this for you. Depending on the complexity, though there may be an additional fee for our time and effort in doing so. If not, we can certainly ensure the DJ plays any special songs for you.
