Hi! I'm Milly Rose. I'm a pianist/singer based in the Scottish Borders. I am versatile, accomplished and adaptable. I enjoy performing a vast range of styles and am very happy to adapt my performances to suit your needs. I LOVE working with couples to create a bespoke setlist for their special day, and am always really happy to work with individual requests! I am a classically trained pianist but love a wide range of musical styles, and love singing modern songs, from current charts to ballads over the years - all with an elegant, polished, sophisticated sense of Milly Rose style! I am super friendly and personable, as well as being an excellent communicator and with the utmost standards of professionalism. I love working with each couple individually to create a totally unique, musical experience that reflects their own special journey and personalities. A bit on my musical background/training: Playing the piano has always been a huge part of my life, having completed my ABRSM Grade 8 at just 13 years old. Since then, I have studied piano performance at Durham University as part of my Music Degree and have also taught piano extensively. I have been performing as a pianist/singer for years, in a range of venues and settings. I love performing at weddings! It is such a joy to be part of your special day. Likewise, I have been singing for forever! I grew up in a household of singers and musicians, which nurtured this love early on in my life. Since then, I have performed as both a solo vocalist, and in groups, at weddings and in many other settings, including as a member of the prestigious Durham Choir in Durham Cathedral. I am also a successful choral director, leading choirs in performances for events and competitively. I have the technical, classical training but love modern music. In fact, I personally enjoy such a range of musical styles that my repertoire is naturally very vast. I really enjoy applying my academic, classical musical understanding to my modern performance style. I think it makes for a really interesting, unique and stylistic vibe! I have a friendly, enthusiastic and cheery manner and am happy to chat with you to discuss your individual needs. My performance style is polished and sophisticated, with classical refinement applied to modern genres. I love covering heartfelt pop/acoustic favourites, as well as unexpected reworks of well-known songs and good old nostalgic throwbacks! I think being someone who likes performing so many different musical styles works in my favour as it means I can cover a range of your requests!
