Mike Walsh's profile picture
Singing guitarist

Mike grew up in Ireland, singing and playing piano and guitar from a very young age. He then spent several years playing, writing and recording as an original artist in Australia where his family moved to before he moved to London 2003. Mike sings with natural emotion in his voice and his guitar playing works as the perfect accompaniment. His biggest influences as a singer are David Bowie and Donny Hathaway, but as far as songwriters go, he adores the likes of Van Morrison, Paul Weller, Ben Harper, Noel Gallagher and Elvis Costello to name just a few. He became a father in 2018 and his son Jackson has inspired him to return to the stage for the first time in a while. Mike is a huge fan of music and his musical knowledge is vast having worked in record shops from his early teenage years before working for EMI records for several years. Mike has carefully compiled a songbook which reflects his taste but he is also happy to take requests for those special moments. Mike is perfect for an occasion or venue looking for someone to set the perfect mood in the background, to start the evening off in style, accompany dinner or add another dimension of quality to your private event. He is also ideal for bars looking to add some live music during the week but don't necessarily want anything too intrusive. Mike's cover versions are fully heartfelt and as passionate as the originals themselves. His love of songwriting wouldn't have it any other way. He is very excited about this new direction his music career is taking and can't wait to start gigging to show you what he can do.

Mike provided the live music at our wedding during dinner and all our guests commented on him. He did a great job and we are so grateful to have had him play on our special day.
