Mike Heydon has been playing and singing for most of my life. Mike offers personalised live acoustic music and vocals for your big day, and has performed at some of the biggest and most exclusive venues in the north east, including Le Petit Chateau, Beamish Hall, Whitworth Hall, Horton Grange and Doxford Hall. A typical set will be for 2 hours, for example while guests enjoy canapés or drinks pre-evening. However I also offer a completely bespoke service, completely dependent upon what you would like for your big day. Typical offerings include: - live music while your guests arrive at the church or venue prior to the wedding service - music as the bride and bridesmaids walk down the aisle - music as your guests enjoy their wedding breakfast - the first dance during the evening I pride myself in offering a bespoke service - music exactly how you want it, when you want it! I understand how important music is to a celebration, and will work with you to make sure the music does your event justice.

Great, just what we were looking for! We held a private party for around 30 or so guests. Very professional and punctual, excellent communication, friendly personality (even when playing in a freezing cold marquee!) Thank you.

I hired Mike as a surprise for my husband on the day so I knew I wanted someone with a guitar etc and after listening to many a youtube video of wedding singers in our area, Mike was literally the perfect fit. He was so personable from day one, and I contacted him in the midst of covid at its worst so getting reassurance from him that he'd be there was a huge relief during a time wedding vendors were dropping like flies. Mike sang our first dance and my mother-daughter dance, and while the first dance was a slowed down cover of 'Cant help falling in love' by Elvis (a song known well by any wedding singer I assume!), the mother-daughter dance was 'Slipping through my fingers' by Abba - quite a task for a singer on an acoustic guitar! Mike did both songs incredibly, the Abba cover brought the room to tears and I know how much work he put into getting that cover right for us. Thank you so much for being such a special part of our day, and you truly are incredibly talented at what you do. I would recommend Mike wholeheartedly for any event! Genuine thanks again for all the time and effort you put into getting those songs spot on.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Im very flexible and will have a chat on the phone and always attempt to accommodate your requirements

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes absolutely. Let me know if this is a requirement and I will factor it into your quote.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually 30-45min. I have multiple PA options, depending on the size of the venue, so smaller venues will be much quicker to setup.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I usually offer 2/3 song requests alongside my standard wedding playlist, but I will always try to accommodate your requests in order to make your big day as special as possible
