Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
I am always keen to engage with the crowd as much as possible; one thing I love to do is take requests from audience members and play the songs on the spot! This is a lot of fun and helps to keep the performance fun, exciting and energetic! I always try and use my loop station as well. People often enjoy seeing me build and arrange a song from scratch!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Some include:
Albert's Schenke
Ambassador Cruises
Heebie Jeebies
Horse & Jockey
Leaf
Lock & Key
Mala - Secret Garden
Manolo
Oh Me, Oh My
Peaky Blinders
Pins
Punch Tarmys
Spanish Caravan
St. Georges Hall
The Adelphi hotel
The Botanist
The Dog House
The Jacaranda
The Oast House
The Old Band House
The Old Tavern
The One O'Clock gun
The Phoenix Hotel
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Gosh, there are so many!
Some bands I love are: The Beatles, Hall & Oats, Fleetwood Mac, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, RHCP, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Oasis, Stereophonics, Arctic Monkeys
Acoustic Players: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, John Martin, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, James Taylor, America, Nick Drake, Tracey Chapman
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I was incredibly fortunate enough to be scouted by a member of PEEL entertainment group and asked to play on an Ambassador Cruise ship - which was a lot of fun! An experience I wont forget!
I have also performed my music live and been featured on BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Introducing Merseyside.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Generally speaking, timing changes are no problem at all as I like to allocate a few hours either side of the initial event time just in case they need be moved. If timings do end up being changed, please just let me know as soon as you can.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
I do not usually offer this as a service, because the venue usually provides background music between sets.
However, if this is something you are looking for, please just let me know and I am sure we can work something out!
How much time do you need to set up?
Ideally, 30 minutes is plenty of time to set up, providing that the staging area is clear and ready for me. I usually like to get to the venue anywhere up to an hour before hand just to liaise with the venue staff, sound techs and event organisers and go over any last minute details before starting.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
I'm always more than happy to tailor my set lists to help suit the exact desire of the clients. I find that many of my clients are more than happy with the songs I play within my standard setlist because of their range and likability. However, I am always happy to add/change wherever I can to help suit the clients exact needs!
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes - absolutely! My PA system can comfortably play medium - large rooms full of people, whilst also being compactible and able to play smaller, more intimate shows.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Yes, more than happy to do so! Many of the songs I get requested I usually already know!
However, If I don't, you can request up to 3 songs for me to learn plus a skype consolation to go over the song choices for £25. Any additional song you'd like me to learn after that is £15 per song.
