Miggins Fiddle Ceilidh Band is an exciting 4 piece North East ceilidh band featuring some highly experienced performers. They are: Julie Ann Souter (Caller) Maurice Condie (Guitar/Cittern) Marina Dodgson (Fiddle) Adam Holden (Piano) All of us bring to the band extensive musical experience, including playing for dancing, performing in other ensembles and playing with each other. Maurice and Marina perform together as "Miggins Fiddle", and play together to lead live-streamed folk tune sessions which attract regular participants from around the UK and North America. Maurice (who is also the "go to" guitarist to dep for other bands on the Encore platform) plays with Adam as "Another Penny". Adam also performs solo as a singer songwriter, while Maurice and Marina (a competition winning musician in her own right) are members of the award winning “The Sunday Trio”. We are all directors of the well established North East folk music development company. Phoenix Folk Ltd. Our caller, Julie Ann, has sung and played harp in a number of bands, not least the extremely successful “Lucky Bags”. As an experienced performer, she will guide you through the dances clearly, and her warm and engaging style will put your guests at ease. Together, Miggins Fiddle Ceilidh Band will give you an exciting and enjoyable night of dance and music. Our repertoire includes many well known tunes from Northumberland, Scotland and beyond, and our combination of fiddle, piano and guitar creates a lively and distinctive sound. All dances are fully called and suitable for absolute beginners, expert dancers and anything inbetween!

"We really enjoyed the ceilidh! It was so much fun. You played a great selection of tunes and gave us a nice variety of dances: a good mix of the sedate-paced and the more lively and challenging. The callers were clear and gave us good directions which was great. I hope we can do it again soon!"
