Miggins Fiddle Ceilidh Band

When you book us for a ceilidh, you can expect a reliable, friendly and professional service … and a great night! We've played in venues all across the North East of England and are equally at home in a top wedding venue or a local community centre. We’ll play great tunes that make you want to dance! No experience is necessary - we cater for absolute beginners as well as more experienced ceilidh dancers, and our caller Julie-Ann will keep everyone on track with clear instructions, demonstrations and a sprinkling of good humour! We’ll respond to your guests and pick dances that we think they will enjoy. We also recognise that some of your guests may prefer to sit and watch, and that’s fine. If everyone is enjoying themselves, then we’re getting it right! We are a three piece band with our own caller, and our combination of fiddle, guitar and piano makes a fun and lively sound. Our repertoire includes music from Northumberland alongside favourites from around the British Isles. All of us bring to the band extensive musical experience, and between us we have over 50 years of experience in playing for dancing. We have worked with each other in various bands and projects for many years, and we also run our own folk music company. We only use high quality equipment and have a choice of PA systems depending on the venue. We take pride in delivering excellent sound quality.
