Michael Nash

Most drummers can get away with playing live, but the cracks really show when you get them into the studio. Michael is not one of those. I was overjoyed to see the quality of his snare hits, as usually I spend a considerable amount of time quantising and trying to separate the snare hit with the bleed when recording most drummers. I noticed his control even before I put the headphones on, just by listening to him playing and looking at the waveform. Each of the songs he recorded effortlessly, and I have no doubt he could play many different styles. He was a pleasure to work with in the studio. HIRE HIM!

This show was not easy - it took place at a venue that is not designed for live music. But despite this, Michael was still able to deliver an extremely professional performance at a very high standard. His energy behind the drum kit and his precision made my job as a singer and guitarist much easier. He was clear and concise when starting the songs, and was unwavering throughout the entire set in terms of both timing and technical ability. I have now played several concerts with Michael as a drummer, and he has proved that he is an extremely gifted and committed musician.
