Michael Jackson is an award winning classically trained Saxophonist, graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2014. He attended the Junior Royal Northern College of Music from the age of 12 where he was the recipient of the Ian McPherson and the Margaret Wetherall prizes. He won the JRNCM Concerto competition and made his Concerto debut performing the Glazunov Saxophone Concerto in 2009. In 2010, he was offered scholarships to RNCM, RCM and Birmingham Conservatoire, accepting a place at RNCM. Whilst there he won the RNCM Concerto Competition and performed the UK Premiere of Stanley Myers’ Soprano Saxophone Concerto in 2015.  He was also the winner of the Woodwind Solo Competition and a finalist in the Gold Medal competition. In 2014, he performed the world premiere of ‘Sonata for Alto Saxophone’ by composer Tom Harrold on BBC Radio 3. He records and performs regularly as a solo artist and with bands in venues around Europe and is currently touring with The George Michael Story.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem, I will always do my best to be flexible to fit in with your event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, not a problem. You can also request songs you would like to be played in between my sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

It usually won't take any longer than 30 minutes to set up.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course, I'm happy for you to pick up to 5 songs from my song list and I will choose the other songs accordingly to fit in with your choices and your event type.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I will have all of my equipment with me.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, of course. I will just need at least 2 weeks notice and an extra fee of £25 per song.
