I trained at Trinity Laban in Jazz Piano and Violin and have an ABRSM Diploma in Violin Performance. I have performed at venues such as Alexandra Palace, Union Chapel, The Roundhouse and Shaftesbury Theatre. I arrange and record my own high quality backing tracks giving my performances a unique and seamless quality. Despite playing on my own, the performances are full, interesting and diverse and avoid sounding just like a 'Karaoke Violinist'. My event service also comes with a series of great value add ons, including a jazz piano set, Violin / Guitar duo set, a Gypsy Jazz set, or a DJ - Musician hybrid set.

We had the pleasure of having Michael Crean perform at our wedding on July 1st, 2023, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Michael's dual talent as a jazz keyboardist and a skilled violinist added a unique and elegant touch to our special day. He went above and beyond by learning the Danish wedding waltz on the violin for our first dance, making it a moment we'll cherish forever. His professionalism, easy communication, and genuine enthusiasm for our event were exceptional. We can't thank him enough for making our wedding even more magical. Highly recommended

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes! For Wedding Ceremonies I offer an additional guitarist and an additional singer. For background drinks music I offer; Jazz Piano (with or without vocals) Jazz Piano & Saxophone Violin & backing tracks (Gypsy jazz style) Modern Acoustic Duo Set (Piano, Guitar and Vocals)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually setup around 30-60 minutes before the event, but this can be done in short times if you are on a tight schedule. As soon as the PA system is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the ceremony!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes! For ceremony music, unless stated otherwise I will perform exactly which songs you want! This is usually made up of an isle song, signing the registry music and end of the ceremony / coming back down the isle song.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes! Depending on how many songs it is and there complexity there may be a small added fee of £30-50 for this. I always learn at least one piece for free!
