Mellonie Page A Biography I am a versatile Singer/Songwriter, Recording Artist, Actress and Performing Arts Workshop Facilitator. My roots are in RnB, Gospel and 80’s Soul music, although other influences include Roots Rock Reggae, Lovers Rock, Musical Theatre, Pop, Rap and Jazz. I have gained many years of experience as a lead and backing vocalist, in studio and live settings. My style ranges from cool, smooth and sweet to fierce and dynamic. My range is 3 & a half octaves. I am a Mezzo Soprano. I am a Soloist with backing tracks, lighting and PA if required and have a band. I toured all over the UK, singing acting, dancing and facilitating Performing Arts Workshops, mostly singing groups, sometimes dance and drama. My passion is working with large groups of young people. We bounce off each other’s high energy. Companies I worked for include: Black Mime Theatre The Ensemble, Theatretrain, YMCA Digital, Razzamattaz, New College Nottingham, Nottingham Playhouse, Schools and youth groups across Nottinghamshire and the Uk. I am able to draw from my experience in college, theatre, church choirs and worship teams, small and large scale performances both locally and internationally. I am professional, a team player and self starter. My mottos are ‘Make it Happen, Yes We Can and We don’t play, We Slay.’ Local and national performances include; One Trick Pony Club, Birmingham, Nottingham Carnival, The One Love Festival, The Hemlock Happening, Party in the Park, Hootananny, Brixton, London, The Southbank Bar, Nottingham Contemporary, Nottingham Playhouse, The Albert Hall Nottingham, The Royal Concert Hall, The Maze, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Birmingham Rep, The Royal Festival Hall, The Lyric Theatre and The Edinburgh Festival. Recent ensemble work; The O2 Arena!
