I learned classical violin since the age 8 . I continued till Grade 8 ABRCM then started to learn Irish folk music. I put my first ceilidh band together 20 years ago. I have taught violin for many years and have played live gigs in the South East for 20 years. I am now based in Lewes , East Sussex and am available to play for parties, weddings, charity events etc.

Melanie was absolutely wonderful. We had her play during our wedding ceremony and her violin playing was beautiful. Melanie’s communication was superb throughout and we cannot thank her enough. We would highly recommend her to anyone else thinking about having some violin playing at their future event. Melanie played violin for us in support of a funeral held in central Brighton. There was a procession from the funeral venue to the pub afterwards, which Melanie led by playing her lovely violin whilst everyone walked through the town. No problem.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes that’s fine. I have a nice selection of suitable music.

How much time do you need to set up?

I need usually 45 mins to set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes by all means. Anything not on the list also possible subject to approval.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I have everything in hand.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes I can. If there is a special song let me know.
