Meantime Chorus are a vocal ensemble based in Central London that specialises in barbershop and we have quartets and larger groups for hire.

Meantime Chorus are a vocal ensemble based in Central London, founded in 2015. We’re fond of singing a huge variety of acapella genres and enjoy delighting audiences in regular concerts and competitions. Our primary focus is Barbershop but our repertoire is varied and extensive. We were crowned the British National Champions of Barbershop in 2022. We came 11th in the world at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Contest in 2023. We hold the record for highest ever score in contest by a British barbershop chorus We can accomodate performances for any occasion, whether it is a corporate event, birthday party or wedding. We have many excellent babershop quartets.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They love the sound of 4-part acapella harmony which is delivered by the barbershop style.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We sang for several hours on top of the O2 arena. We also did a private performance for the judges of Britain's Got Talent.

Do you have different line-up options?

As we are a chorus, we are able to field many different barbershop quartets. Some of our quartets are established quartets that regularly compete at the national level.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not to worry, we shall try to be as flexible as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

How much time do you need to set up?

If singing without amplification, we can just run on and sing. If we are using our sound system, it'd take 10 minutes to set up.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes, barbershop is well suited for this.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

If there are specific song requests, we will try to accomodate them.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. In general, we do not require amplification. However in certain circumstances, it can be beneficial and thus we have a completely portable PA system that we take with us to gigs.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, even if a song isn't in our song list, we have many very talented arrangers that will be able to write together a barbershop arrangement of the song. This would usually increase the price however.

The chorus has some of the most prolific and talented arrangers in the business. If you want a custom arrangement written, learned, rehearsed and performed for you, it will add an additional £250 to the booking.

I hired the guys as a barbershop quartet for a marriage proposal on the weekend. The guys were super quick in coming back to me, and arranging everything and performed the song I requested superbly. Not a dry eye in the house. Amazing! Made our special moment truly incredible.

A barbershop quartet from Meantime Chorus were a great addition to our 1920s Style Boardwalk Event. They brought an authentic sound and their outfits and interaction with public created some great photos.
