Matt Payne

Matt is a London based Trumpeter available for any event. Matt has played at over 500 weddings, funerals and corporate events worldwide either as a solo musician or as part of a band/group. Whether you need the 'Prince of Denmark's Tune' played as you walk down the aisle, or whether you need 'The Last Post' played as someone is laid to rest, or if you need someone to take on the Lead Trumpet parts of the 'Earth Wind and Fire' back-catalogue - Matt can be on hand to play for you. Matt currently works for 'Soul Supreme', 'Blue Lion Band' and the 'No Limit Street Band'. Matt has worked with artists such as 'Nile Rogers', 'Rick Astley', 'Mcfly', and 'The Spice Girls' to name a few. He has also appeared as a musician for film and TV for 'Dancing on Ice', 'Britain's Got Talent', 'Walk Like a Panther' and 'Fox Studios'. Other TV appearances include BBC's 'Holding Back the Years' featuring Ainsley Harriet as part of 'Alex Mendham and his Orchestra', and Channel 4's 'The Last Leg'. Matt grew up playing trumpet in the National Youth Music Theatre UK, NYJO and Academy Big Band, as well as formerly playing 1st Trumpet with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra. He also has a degree in Trumpet Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
