Matthew has mastered many aspects of the piano for over 25 years and has held residencies in prestigious venues like The Pump Rooms Bath.

Matthew passed the Piano Performance Diploma of the London College of Music DipLCM in 2006. Since then he has not only gained resident pianist status at some of the most prestigious hotels, restaurants and venues in the South West such as The Bath Spa Hotel, Pump Rooms Bath and The Manor House Castle Combe, he’s also booked regularly for wedding ceremonies and receptions in venues like Merchants Hall, Berwick Lodge, Berkeley Castle and more. He’s also accompanied for singers of all styles and for ABRSM instrumental exams. Matthew performs solo piano concerts frequently to promote his debut album entitled Classical Piano. He is constantly working hard to improve all areas of technique and learning new repertoire for future performances, events and recording releases.

What an absolute pleasure it was to have the exceptionally talented Matthew play at our candlelit wedding breakfast. Matthew had an incredible repertoire which included the likes of Einaudi(a musician that is very close to our hearts) all the way up to the more modern pop songs like Coldplay and Pharrell- he played every piece so beautifully and his music complimented all the twinkly candles and enhanced the magic of the day by a mile. As well as being an incredibly talented pianist, Matthew was also a thoroughly lovely man who was always so warm (and prompt!) in his communications- if I could give him 10 stars I would! Thank you so much Matthew for being such an integral part of our day and bringing so much magic- Alessia and Jonny (wedding 25/11/2024- The Mount Without- Bristol)

"Matthew is an incredible pianist playing a wonderful selection of music for us throughout our wedding breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed having Matthew play for us and wish we could book him again for another occasion! Our guests took great enjoyment in his performance too. This includes music before the service begins, music during the signing of the register, and music as guests leave. Also includes up to 3 bespoke pieces chosen by yourselves for the ceremony. I’m always happy to help with decisions and suggestions for the pieces too if you are unsure what you would like played.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be flexible with timings so just let me know if anything changes leading up to the event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No sorry Ive never been asked to supply this service.

How much time do you need to set up?

Using my digital piano i would need 30 mins to set up. I make sure i am set up at least 30 mins before the performance time.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes absolutely. You just need to make sure it has been regularly tuned and in good working order.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My sets are crafted from countless weddings/events and learning what works best to ensure the event goes fantastically. I'm happy to include 3 pieces of your choice for wedding ceremonies. These will have to be decided on at least 4 months before the wedding.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes of course, i have an industry standard high quality Roland RD 700NX digital stage piano.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely please see above.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They love the atmosphere of class and sophistication i add to their wedding/event that solo piano music is perfect for.
