About Matthew

Matthew has mastered many aspects of the piano for over 25 years and has held residencies in prestigious venues like The Pump Rooms Bath.

Matthew passed the Piano Performance Diploma of the London College of Music DipLCM in 2006. Since then he has not only gained resident pianist status at some of the most prestigious hotels, restaurants and venues in the South West such as The Bath Spa Hotel, Pump Rooms Bath and The Manor House Castle Combe, he’s also booked regularly for wedding ceremonies and receptions in venues like Merchants Hall, Berwick Lodge, Berkeley Castle and more. He’s also accompanied for singers of all styles and for ABRSM instrumental exams. Matthew performs solo piano concerts frequently to promote his debut album entitled Classical Piano. He is constantly working hard to improve all areas of technique and learning new repertoire for future performances, events and recording releases.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be flexible with timings so just let me know if anything changes leading up to the event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No sorry Ive never been asked to supply this service.

How much time do you need to set up?

Using my digital piano i would need 30 mins to set up. I make sure i am set up at least 30 mins before the performance time.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes absolutely. You just need to make sure it has been regularly tuned and in good working order.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My sets are crafted from countless weddings/events and learning what works best to ensure the event goes fantastically. I'm happy to include 3 pieces of your choice for wedding ceremonies. These will have to be decided on at least 4 months before the wedding.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes of course, i have an industry standard high quality Roland RD 700NX digital stage piano.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely please see above.
