What a wonderful, talented young man! Right from the first point of contact, Matthew was extremely professional and kind. He completely exceeded all my expectations. He played a set of classics from the 50's and the 60's for my mum's memorial. Matthew really honoured my mum. He was respectful, down to earth and such a pleasure to be around. He was a genius on the guitar and his voice was outstanding. The guests were so blown away by his performance that they were talking about him long after he'd left. I can honestly say that he captivated the room with his incredible talent and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I'd choose him again in a heartbeat and I wish him a successful journey ahead. Thank you for sharing our special day with us Matthew.

I booked Matthew very last minute for a family birthday lunch. He was responsive, polite and punctual. He played a great background set, doing a great job entertaining everyone from a one year old child to the grandparents. We were very pleased overall and would highly recommend him to others

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Event organising is often a delicate art, and plans have a tendency to change. That’s why I make an effort to be flexible. I’ll be very happy to accommodate timing changes where I can, and free of charge where I can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

My equipment is capable of playing through an aux lead, which I normally bring along! This service is absolutely free of charge. If this is something you’d like please do let me know on booking.

How much time do you need to set up?

I have my set up down to a fine art and generally take less than half an hour to get my equipment sorted and tested. I tend to leave a bit of a longer margin for this, but I have snuck in and secretly set up in ten minutes for a surprise performance whilst a customer was distracting her husband at the bar!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely, I’m here to entertain you and I value your input. My set list has been informed by countless performances and learning what works best for guests to have a good time, so I have got it covered, but I’m very happy to chat through your ideas for your night.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I certainly do. All I need from you is somewhere to plug into.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn’t included in my set list there’s still a chance I might know it. If there is a special song you’d like me to learn however I can get the practised up to performance standard for you in time for the event. This might be subject to a small fee for this service though, depending on my familiarity with the song and it’s complexity (learning time).
