I have been playing bass since the age of 12, with 6 years of experience behind me, I am a relatively young musician. However, I have played in an all originals band since 2013, progressing in both my stage presence and playing ability. I have been approached to play various sessions with local bands as a stand-in bass player in the absence of their regular. As a musician, I like to write my own bass parts, which I believe is a skill within itself. All music related work in surrounding areas would be taken into great consideration as I aim to progress in the music business.
Don't let the age of this kid fool you, he's one of the most competent bassists I've ever worked with. Friendly, punctual and a very fast learner. Stage energy is paramount with our live shows and Matt Bean certainly stepped up to the plate and wowwed the crowd with his funk bass style and awesome moves, can't recommend him enough
Matthew is one of the most friendly and competent session musicians I have ever worked with. He took instructions really well and always turned up on time. One of the most important aspects of performing live music is stage presence which Matthew has an abundance of. The chemistry created on stage between him and the other band members was unbelievable considering we only had a few rehearsals beforehand. Anybody would have thought he had been in the band for years. Can't speak highly enough of him.
