Matt Ward is a recently graduated musician from the University of Oxford, and has over 10 years of professional trumpet-playing experience. Matt is proficient in a range of musical styles; he has performed across the country in orchestral, fanfare, jazz, funk, and RnB capacities, amongst some of the finest youth ensembles such as at Junior Guildhall, NYMT, NYWO, LSO Next Gen. Most recently he has been the principal trumpet in the Oxford Uni Orchestra, Oxford Uni Jazz Orchestra, Oxford Brass Quintet, funk band DFO, and the Sidcup Symphony Orchestra. He has played at numerous famous venues and events, such as the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, Oxford's Encaenia Ceremony, and the Barbican. Matt is perfect to book for a variety of trumpeting needs - orchestral section work, big bands, small jazz gigs, fanfares for ceremonies, and funk bands for party and function work!
