The Matt Lacey Trio

Three full time professional musicians formed after playing together in other ensembles, with many years of playing all styles of music collectivity. Our love for the quintessential Jazz trio setup gives us a framework to play and challenge each other in what can seem like a simple band structure, however just as with Jazz itself; very often, less is more. We enjoy giving old favorites a new twist as well as respecting the style and format of the classic Jazz standard. Our approach to our playing as well our willingness to fit in with needs of or clients has lead to us to gain repeat bookings and new fans -of us, and Jazz- along the way in our relatively short time together. We'd love to help make your party or event one to remember whether that be entertaining your guests or providing real live background ambiance. A front line player (Sax/guitar etc.) or vocalist can be added by special request to meet the needs of a client or performance.
