Mathilda Jean is a conservatoire trained pianist playing a range of styles spanning genres and decades, from classical, through jazz, to pop and rock. She can tailor her set list to suit your tastes, and is happy to discuss requests, to ensure that the right atmosphere is created for you and your guests, and to help add that personal touch. She is available for weddings (Ceremony, Drinks Reception, Wedding Breakfast) as well as for private parties, charity and corporate events, and more. If there is not a piano at your chosen venue, she can provide a beautiful white electric baby grand piano. Mathilda Jean holds residencies at Browns and The River Grille in Bristol, and has a wealth of experience playing for various events, indoors and outdoors, across the Southwest. Mathilda Jean played at Forever Flying, our celebration of life evening at Leigh Court. She played beautifully as our guests arrived, as well as after the service as guests chatted over tea and cake. Her choice of songs matched the event perfectly, setting a warm and welcoming tone, and the mini grand piano that she brought was a lovely touch that looked fantastic in Leigh Court.

We absolutely loved having Mathilda with us on our wedding day. From the moment we started planning our day, we knew we wanted a pianist and she helped us choose the most perfect music for each part of our ceremony. She is flexible when it comes to being indoors or outdoors and she plays beautifully. Our guests loved her and I would definitely have Mathilda with us at future events. Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I'm afraid not.

How much time do you need to set up?

It takes about half an hour to set my kit up, and I usually complete this an hour before performance time.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Please do let me know which songs out of my setlist that you would like to ensure is included in your performance.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own beautiful white baby grand electric piano.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
