Our Fundraising concert at Godalming Borough Hall on 10th November celebrating 70 years of the NHS was a great success with many highlights, among which was a stunning performance by guitar band 'Arx Vanitas'. Arx are fronted by their charismatic lead singer Martina Lopez whose beautiful and powerful voice lent new depths to pop classics, revealing a psychological ambiguity and complexity not often displayed in more superficial renderings of the songs. Her magnetic stage presence seemed to draw real musical power from the talented band, as well as enthusiastic appreciation from the audience. Catch a performance from Martina if you get the chance - you won't be disappointed.
