Martin Segerstråle was born in Turku, Finland in 1984. Having started his piano studies at the age of 5, he went on to study musicology and German before entering the Sibelius Academy in 2012. He graduated with an MMus degree in 2015 with diplomas in choral conducting and the piano. Martin studied at the Royal Academy of Music 2015-2016, attending the Musical Direction and Coaching (MD) programme, which is part of the Musical Theatre course.
