Marta is a committed, professional and charismatic pianist/ singer/ multi-instrumentalist, as well as a songwriter, composer and teacher.

Marta started studying music at age 6, taking piano, music theory and choir lessons. Her aptitude, commitment and passion for music were evident from the start, and she completed Grade 8 of the National Conservatory of Lisbon in 2016. In the meantime, she taught herself to play guitar, bass, drums and ukelele and had singing lessons for 3 years. Moving to the UK in 2017 to start a Songwriting Degree at BIMM London, she has had plenty of experience playing live in many genres and collaborating with numerous musicians, including her band Runaway Strangers. Teaching is also one of her passions, having taught people aged 5 to 50 since 2015. Marta specializes in Pop, Rock and Jazz and her sets can be: - Guitar and Vocals; - Piano and Vocals; - Solo Piano. Combining creativity, technique, energy and emotion, Marta's performances can captivate any audience.

Marta absolutely smashed it, she got the crowd going and we received nothing but good feedback from customers about her performance.

It is wonderful to hear Marta play and see her many talents. I saw Marta play two sets: one, a solo piano performance of relaxing songs, another on the guitar, providing soulful covers with a singer. Marta plays with skill and grace and I can imagine her adapting to so many genres!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can play a Spotify playlist in between sets if requested by you prior to the event.

How much time do you need to set up?

It usually takes me up to 30 minutes to set up.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, absolutely, as long as it is in working order I am happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes!

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I can bring my Yamaha keyboard.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I can learn up to 3 new songs for an extra fee (2-week notice required to ensure the performance is up to standard).
