Born on March 1992 in Orihuela, Spanish oboist Marta Perales was introduced to the music at an early age of five. During her studies at Murcia Conservatoire in Spain, she got a high marks and the congratulation of the panel in her final exam. Now she is student at Royal College of Music, with the famous oboists Fabien Thouand and Olivier Stankiewicz. Marta’s warm, sometimes energetic playing may reflect a close proximity to Spanish folk-music, which she has greatly influenced her musicality. Marta has performed at some of the Spain’s music halls. Also is worth to mention her performance at the Vienna Musikverein and Konzerthaus in summer of 2015. In orchestral life, Marta has been a member of different orchestras, such as Young Orchestra of Murcia, Young Orchestra of Alicante and UCAM Symphony Orchestra. She has been a principal oboist in Murcia Symphony Orchestra, being the youngest player in 2016. By other hand, Marta won important awards such a Summa Cum Laude Competition in 2015, Cox Chamber Music Competition in 2014. Other collaborative projects include her participation in First Biennial in Holland (2014) and some recordings for Spanish National Radio (RNE) and TV7. Also is important to say that Marta has been invited to participate in the Principal Oboe Completion at Milan Scala Theatre in December of 2016. Future projects include a tour with Estrella Morente, flamenco singer, performing Love, the Magician by Manuel de Falla and some concerts with Mediterranean Wind Ensemble in Brussels.
