I have played tenor sax for 34 years, initially in classical style but then expanded into jazz, rock and pop. I can offer a huge degree of flexibility to individually cater for any type of function or occasion. All music is played by ear, and from memory without sheet music. We had the absolute pleasure of having Mark perform at our wedding, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. From the very beginning, he was amazing to work with - super communicative, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. He brought such a fun and lively energy before the band started, setting the tone for an incredible night. He even went out of his way to learn specific songs we requested, which meant a lot to us and made the performance feel really personal. What stood out most was how easy he made the whole planning process - he was flexible, professional, and so accommodating with all of our ideas and timings. It really took the stress out of things and let us focus on enjoying the day. Our guests are still talking about how fantastic he was. If you're considering booking a sax player for your event - book Mark! You won't regret it.

We had the most fantastic night with Mark performing for us on Sax. He really made the night a success for us, by playing many specific favourites of ours, even though he hadn’t previously played some of these in a party set. His other suggestions were also perfect. The sound was pure and enhanced through his collaboration with the DJ to synchronize with the backing tracks. His set list completely echoed our vibe. We left everything to Mark and he delivered. He arrived early, really looking the part, and was completely reliable. The ambiance was perfect and having Mark play was the best decision we made for the evening. We would recommend him to everyone who wants their party to be really special.

Mark played the saxophone at our 50th birthday celebration in a marquee in the garden and was absolutely brilliant! He was extremely communicative and helpful in the organisation stage, checking what type of energy / atmosphere we wanted, and if there were any particular songs that we specifically wanted to include. He was very easy to deal with and professional throughout, arriving in plenty of time to set up with all of his own equipment, but also liaising with the DJ regarding his sound system. He judged the set perfectly – a great mix of tunes building to create a fantastic party atmosphere! We were thrilled with how it went and would definitely recommend him for any event or party!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problems, just let me know. I will usually be able to accommodate.

How much time do you need to set up?

45 minutes is usually plenty of time.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from numerous performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, I can learn particularly significant tracks provided there is plenty of time to customise and optimise the backing track and practice the song in question.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Absolutely. I have a top of the Rains fan, all the accessories and my own twin Bose PA system. I'm also happy to work with your DJ if they are in agreement.
