About Mark

Mark is a cocktail pianist, composer and piano tutor available for hire in Merseyside.
Verified profile

Mark is a professional cocktail pianist and musician based in Liverpool. As a recent Music graduate from the University of Liverpool, Mark has performed for many weddings and function events all over the UK, including for high-profile clients such as Channel 4 and the BBC. Mark has also held cocktail residencies for the Novotel and Richmond hotels. Mark’s expansive repertoire includes a perfect mix of classical, pop and jazz, which can be personally tailored to your event. If you do not see a song that you would like to be played at your event, do let Mark know and he will be able to learn it especially for you. Mark will gladly play on any piano, but if your venue does not have one, he is able to bring his professional electric piano at no extra cost. Mark will also provide background music between sets to create the perfect tone for your event, and is able to take requests in advance. During his time at University, Mark strived to become a better musician and received piano tuition from local concert pianist, Tom Kimmance. Mark was elected President of the Liverpool University Music Society (LUMS), as well as conducting the Stage and Screen Orchestra (SSO) and formed the first Percussion Ensemble. Mark has recently appeared on Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and accompanied Jason Manford on Radio 5 Live. A competent accompanist, Mark has also accompanied many singers and instrumentalists for exams and recitals. Mark is an accomplished Musical Director, having performed many musicals in university and beyond. Whilst in university, Mark became resident Musical Director for the Liverpool University Student Theatre (LUST) society, whose recent productions include Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls and Little Women. His recent contribution to the music of Into the Woods was described as being 'fantastic throughout' and that the production was 'not to be missed'.

Mark was a great addition to our wedding. Mark played background music during the ceremony and learnt the songs we asked him to. A top class musician!

We hired Mark to play background jazz music during the drinks reception at our wedding. He was brilliant and really helped the ambience.
