I became a full time musician in 2011 after leaving a career as director of a software consultancy to pursue a passion for playing the double bass. The driving force behind Guildford and Fleet Jazz Clubs, I have performed with Alan Barnes, Dave O’Higgins, Karen Sharp, Art Themen, Derek Nash and many of the top UK jazz musicians, as well as with the Steve Waterman Big Band, the Kingswood Big Band (directed by Barry Forgie, Director of the BBC Big Band), and various jazz and classical ensembles (including the Surrey Mozart Players). I am passionate about supporting jazz within the local community, and regularly organise jazz events, workshops and jam sessions for local musicians. I also teach bass privately.
