Marcus brings his distinctive, rich baritone to the Jazz, Swing, Soul, Rock & Pop songs he loves, ranging from well-loved classics to recent hits. Acclaimed for his vocal quality, effortless stage presence and his ability to 'read the room' with audiences of all ages, he learned operatic vocal techniques with Hampshire based soprano Rebekah Abbot and has honed his stagecraft with 20+ years of live experience singing at weddings, special occasions and events for prestigious clients such as Thatcher’s Cider, John Lewis and the Royal Air Force. • Based in Hampshire, he is available across the South and Midlands. • Self- contained with regard to equipment, he can either bring a full P.A. system which will easily fill a large venue or set up for a garden party or smaller venue using Bose S1 Pro+ speakers which provide great sound quality without the need for any cables or plugs! • All equipment is P.A.T. tested and covered with Public Liability Insurance to the value of £10 million. • All bookings are jointly planned with you via direct phone calls to create a bespoke package that will suit your needs. Typical packages: • Summer parties: Infectious feelgood atmosphere songs to suit mixed age ranges with the option of an uptempo dancing set later (Motown, 60's/70's/80's/90's etc.) depending on the nature of your event. • Anniversaries/ Special Birthdays/Dinner & Dance events: First set Jazz & Swing to get your guests in the party mood without drowning out the conversation. Second set - uptempo classics for dancing. • Christmas Parties: Great combination of seasonal songs to get everyone in the mood plus Swing & Pop numbers with the option of an uptempo dancing set later, Motown, 60's/70's/80's/90's etc. • Wedding Receptions/ Corporate events: Creating the perfect ambience with infectious classic songs while your guests mingle and socialise. • Wedding Breakfasts: Tasteful background Jazz & Soul music for you and your guests to enjoy without drowning out the conversation. • Wedding Evening Meals/ Wedding Evening Parties : Atmospheric Music to get the vibe going during the meal, then Marcus will learn your ‘First Dance’ song for you (just let him know your song choice well in advance). This can be followed by up-tempo live sets for you and your guests to dance to. This option also works well for the early evening e.g. 8-10pm when you're having a DJ for the later part of the evening.
