Cover band
Watford

Originally formed in 2006 under the name Manhattan, a group of seasoned musicians came together, inspired by the vocal talent of young singer Sarah Marchant. The Watford based band has now found its true identity as Marchant, creating a new dimension to the covers band genre. Today, the band delivers a slick performance of exciting and iconic material and is available for parties, functions and gigs. Vocals from bassist Andy Brown, compliment Sarah's dynamic range and allow the band to cover an extensive repertoire. The 5-piece line up is completed with Phil King on drums, Stuart Brierley on lead guitar and Debbie Marchant on keyboards & backing vocals. Armed with a comprehensive set list, Marchant deliver a captivating and gutsy sound, moving seamlessly through classics from the last five decades. Expect classic rock one minute and modern hits that will stand the test of time the next. Priding themselves on authentically re-creating the hits the way they were meant to sound, Marchant draw on the music of a diverse selection of artists and are also known for tackling a few classics other bands wouldn't dare attempt. Check out the ever evolving song list.

[Wed 4th Jul 2012] Halfway House Rickmansworth Friday 30th June 2012. Full two hour set from this fantastic band who created the best party atmosphere and played to suit everybody's taste. Their mix of songs are all re-created to be as close to the originals as they can and are performed with passion and professionalism. I would go to see them again anytime and really enjoyed the evening. They ROCK ! - Steve Symons

[Wed 29th Feb 2012] White Lion St. Albans. Tuesday 29 Feb 2012. Marchant, a really high quality rock and pop covers band. Also a box of chocolates - never know what you're gonna to get. I've not heard 'Hocus Pocus ' played live since dinosaurs ruled - brilliant - always play it; Pink Floyd's 'Time' followed by 'Great Gig in the Sky' - what a voice! ; throw in Adele, Duffy, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, The Zombies (or was it Santana's 'She's Not There'?) - you get the idea. The sound - volume and balance - was great. The pub was packed. I dropped in for a quick pint and stayed the night. Fantastic. Thankyou! - Ian Byrne
