Maja Horvat, born on 29th of May in 1996, has graduated from Conservatory of music and ballet Ljubljana in the class of Volodja Balžalorsky in the year of 2015. She has performed many times in concerts and competitions in Slovenia and other countries as Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy, solo and in chamber music. She has won several first, golden, silver or bronze prizes at the competitions in Slovenia or in other countries. She started to play the violin when she was seven years old in music school Jesenice. Her first teacher was Bojan Ristić, later her professor was prof. Blanka Piotrovska. She has worked with many professors, Saewon Suh, Vasilij Meljnikov, Tatiana Balashova, Daniel Rowland, Igor Ozim, Wonji Kim Ozim... She has performed as a soloist in a duet with Petra Herič with Slovenian Philharmonic Chamber orchestra. In the year of 2015 she has performed as a soloist with the Symphony orchestra of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana. She also had many solo recitals from the time she started her education at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana. She was also a member of some succesful chamber groups-Prima Roka, Crescendo, Evigilans. In december 2014 she successfully played in her audition for the Royal College of Music London and also received a scholarship. She is a Scholar supported by Big Give Award. She is currently a student in the class of prof. Daniel Rowland.
