Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
I will always dress the part. Just give me a vague dress code and I will match it! I’m always up for taking requests, whether that’s a song that is sentimental to you, or just one that you love to groove to. It’s your day!
I will usually assess the mood and work out what tunes will really get the party going. The last thing you want is no one up dancing!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Jazz venues such as Pizza Express Live in Soho. Concert hall venues such as the prestigious Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
I am influenced mainly by jazz artists, as this is how I train. However, pop artists help me to get that added extra into my sound, which brings together technique and vibes!!
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Most of my gigs right now are private functions and jazz gigs due to my studying. However I play at various festivals with different bands, hoping to play soon at events such as Glastonbury.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Not to worry! I understand that things don’t always go exactly to plan and am always ready to adapt to your needs. Just let me know and we can figure it out without any stress. :)
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes. Whether it’s between or before sets, I will happily put on a playlist/songs of your choice through my sound system for however long necessary.
How much time do you need to set up?
Personally, I travel fairly light! My approximate setting up time is about 5/10 minutes. This means that I’m easy to move around if needed. However, I like to arrive much earlier in order to work out the setting and exactly what is required.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
As there are so many songs, I included some well-known artists of which I play songs by, but pretty much any popular songs or jazz tunes are well within reach - just send them over and it shouldn’t be a problem at all!
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes. I have everything I need with me and don’t require anything else in order to perform.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Of course! I will do my best to learn any requests that I don’t already know, though it is likely that I will have played it at least once before. Just let me know what you’re thinking of and we can go from there!
