We are an acoustic guitar piano duo providing awe inspiring male vocals. Performing stripped down acoustic versions of some of the greatest songs ever written, the playlist is endless, covering pop, rock and soul hits. From wedding breakfasts or champagne receptions to laid back pub gigs, our acoustic duo is guaranteed to entertain guests every single time. John’s background in music stems back over 25 years as lead singer in several bands performing in pubs and at weddings and venues across the UK. Maria is a classically trained pianist and the pair’s love of music formed the duo. MJ Acoustic are suitable for all types of events and provide a sophisticated soundtrack for your special occasion. As highly experienced performers, there’s no better feeling than watching the faces of our guests as we entertain and that is why we love what we do.

An unexpected treat!!! I took my family out for a meal at The Crystal Palace on Sunday, for what turned out to be a real treat!! As a bit of a music fan, I thoroughly enjoyed watching these guys perform some absolutely brilliant songs! Played and sung extremely well! Never in all my life have I heard a mix of Fatboy Slim’s, Praise You and Wonderwall by Oasis!?? But these guys did it and it was superb!! Catch these MJ Acoustic if you can!!! I hope to see you again very soon!!! Jason. :)

Saw these guys open the 2022 Croxfest! After waiting a couple of years for Croxfest to return after Covid, they were the perfect start to a brilliant day!! Full of great, classic songs that everyone would know! Amazing piano and vocals! Putting their own spin on a lot of great songs which worked amazingly!!! Can’t wait to see these again! I sure will be keeping my eyes out for them!!! Great show guys!!! Thomas.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is Guitar, Piano and Vocals.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We try to be as flexible as possible! And will help to ensure your event runs smoothly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can! And if possible can get a playlist together so are breaks are full of your favourite tunes!

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can go completely acoustic and John can unplug and walk around entertaining the crowd! Unfortunately Maria will be behind the piano!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Absolutely!! We do ensure we have enough space to set up! Usually 3mx3m is plenty for us!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
