About Lyrae

Classical crossover group
Tunbridge Wells
Public liability insurance of £10 million
A duo with class: Easy listening classical, jazz, pop and musical theatre gems. Classical-crossover at it's best!

Lyrae is best described as a classical-crossover voice and piano duo with a sprinkling of violin duets. The duo offers the listener a journey through easy-listening classical songs and arias, musical theatre, pop and jazz standards. Their programme is carefully planned for the setting they perform in, and is gently broken up with light violin duets and solo piano pieces. Their aim is to give the audience great musical variety whilst maintaining a high quality performance in each style they perform.

Lyrae performed superbly at our party in August with Jennifer's singing and Lianna on keyboard. They went down a bundle with our guests: performed beautifully and were so versatile in their repertoire (everything from classical and jazz to pop) with excellent judgement as to what people would like. The performances were perfectly judged to entertain, without being intrusive but loud enough to be listened to by those who wanted to listen rather than talk. Beautiful voice and keyboard playing. No hesitation in recommending!

After looking for a long time for some wedding music for our ceremony and reception drinks, we came across Jenny online and got in contact via email. From the offset Jenny was very imformative, efficient and helpful, sending us some of her upcoming dates where we could see her play. Initially we were only planning on having Jenny for our wedding as a solo violinist, but after seeing Jenny and her partner Lianna perform [violin, piano and vocals] together we deciding to have a duo as they both worked so well together. They were perfect throughout from planning through to performing and we couldn’t recommend them enough. Our guests all said how well they performed and it added another special touch to our day.
