Lydia Baines

Lydia Nicole Baines is currently in her second year at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She studies the Flute with Jonathan Burgess and the Piccolo with Andrew Lane. At the age of 11 she won a place in the National Children’s Orchestra and held it until the cut off age, this kickstarted her passion for ensembles. Lydia has also played with the National Children’s Wind Orchestra, Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra and she is currently a Soprano in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and was a part of their tour to China in 2016. While studying at the Purcell School of Music and the Royal College of Music Junior Department she played in many ensembles and in many amazing venues, for example The Wigmore Hall, Cadogen Hall and The Royal Festival Hall.
