Born in Venezuela, Lya is an independent drummer and percussionist based in London. Played versatile styles from Rock, Punk to Latin Jazz, World Music, etc; she has played in UK Festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Bestival, Secret Garden, Lovebox, La Linea and main London venues like Hootananys, Passing Clouds, Ronnie Scotts, Camden Jazz Cafe etc. A few projects she has been involved with: All This Noise, Malka, Critical Mass with Sola Akinbola (Jamiroquai), Slovo Sound System with David Randall (Faithless) in, Gabriela Eva, Animanz, Juanita Euka (London AfroBeat & Wara) and writes & produces for independent artists. She's also a freelance Sound Engineer and Quality Control Operator for Universal Pictures International.
