With 18 years of professional drumming behind me, I've built a career on being the kind of player that band leaders and agencies can rely on. Someone who turns up prepared, fits in fast, and delivers every time. Whether it's a one-off dep or a longer-term position with a function band, I bring the same level of commitment and professionalism to every gig.
My live experience spans the full spectrum, from sweaty pub and club nights on the circuit to major festival stages, and everything in between. I've toured with blues and rock guitarist Troy Redfern, a stint that sharpened my ability to lock in tight with a band under real touring pressure. I've also gigged extensively with Splash the Cash, Stud Farm Mafia, and Hell's Gazelles, each of which brought its own demands and helped me develop a versatility that I now carry into every booking.
Alongside live work, I've logged serious time in the studio. Recording sessions require a different kind of discipline; patience, precision, and the ability to serve the song rather than the ego. It's a side of drumming I genuinely love, and that studio mindset carries over into how I approach live work too. I listen, I lock in with the bass, and I keep the groove solid so everyone else on stage can do their job.
My drumming is underpinned by formal training at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, where I completed an HND Level 5 in Drums. That education gave me a strong technical foundation alongside the theory and musicianship to communicate confidently with other musicians in any setting.
I work equally well from charts or by ear. If you need someone who can sight-read a chart at soundcheck and nail it by the first song, I can do that. If the band works more loosely and learns by listening, I'm just as comfortable in that environment. After 18 years on the road and in the studio, reading a room and a band comes naturally.
Kit-wise, I own and travel with a full professional setup, and I know how to get in, get set up, and be ready without fuss. I understand that on most gigs, load-in time is tight and nobody wants to be waiting around for the drummer. Efficient, tidy, and ready to soundcheck is the standard I hold myself to every time.
I'm available for deps, function band work, touring, and recording sessions, and I'm happy to travel internationally for the right opportunities. Rock and pop are my bread and butter, but my background across the pub and festival circuit means I can adapt to a wide range of styles and setlists without breaking a sweat.
If you're a band leader or agency looking for a drummer who will make your life easier rather than harder, I'd love to hear from you. I'm easy to work with, always prepared, and genuinely passionate about playing great gigs. Let's make some noise.
