Ludger Hofmann-Engl was born in 1964 in Bamberg (Germany). Between 1991 and 2015 he worked in London. Currently he lives in Krakow (Poland). Widely educated in music and music science his studies include composition with Ludwig Schilling at Nuremberg Conservatory and attendance of Lugi Nono's public lectures in Berlin. Hofmann-Engl's works includes over 50 compositions and many papers on music perception and cognition. His music receives frequent broadcasts.
