Playing music for others brings me immense joy, I take great pride in my work; clients enjoy my professional yet approachable nature both on and off stage. I am a versatile performer and I enjoy curating the experience so that it is fitting for your ceremony or event. I am very happy to discuss the styles of music you would most like to hear and provide guidance. All my own equipment is provided and I ensure to communicate clearly with my clients and venues in advance so that there are no concerns around set up and you can enjoy your day. Depending on the selected repertoire, I perform my music to backing track. An accompanist or additional musicians can be easily sourced for an extra fee. I can offer multiple genres and styles of performance including: Classical singing recital Classical cello recital Singing covers set Cello covers set Singing & Cello covers set Singing & Cello ambient sound meditation Singing & Cello original material A combination of any In terms of my professional background, I am a Classically trained vocalist with a love for all types of music and performance. I began singing as a member of the Exeter Cathedral and Buckfast Abbey choirs and have a BA Hons in Classical Voice from Leeds Conservatoire (LCON). I have performed with a diverse number of groups including Opera North, Leeds Baroque Choir, Leeds Contemporary Singers, LCON Chamber Choir and Orchestra (cello), Contemporary Pop Choir and LCON Opera Scenes, as well as working as the Musical Director for the LCON Opera Society in 2019. Currently I work as a professional session vocalist and cellist for a variety of recording sessions and performances and regularly perform with bands and ensembles.

Luca played cello at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception. Beforehand he accomodated our request to play a new song not on his repetoire, he also communicated with us about logistics and song choices and helped us piece everything together with timings. He was very friendly and accommodating throughout. On the day he was absolutely amazing, we loved the ambience he created and he even played trumpet for one of the songs, which was a last minute surprise that we loved. We can't thank him enough and we would highly recommend him to anyone. A big thanks to you Luca!

I have been working with Luca since 2023 and have found him to be extremely professional, inspiring and creative. We have worked together delivering workshops to members of the local public. I like the way Luca is able to work to a brief but also allows space for improvisation and responding to the audience. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and demonstrates tenacity, integrity and knowledge of his art at a very high level. I feel very honored to be able to work in partnership him and we are planning more projects in 2024.

Luca recently played his cello at a family funeral during the church service. We were all totally moved by his sympathetic and superb rendition of Ave Maria and other relevant pieces of music. He judged the occasion perfectly and played with such compassion and sensitivity. Thank you Luca for your valuable musical contribution to such an important event for the family.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I ask kindly to be told in advance of any cancellations or changes and I will always try my best to be flexible if you would like to make alterations to the timings or structure of the event/ceremony. If you cancel soon to the event/ceremony then a fee may still apply.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am more than happy to compile a selection of music to play before and between sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

I arrive 1 hour before a performance, set up usually takes 15-30 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course and if you have any other suggestions or requests I am happy to cater the music to your taste.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I have all my own equipment needed for amplification and set up.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, I am happy to take requests given sufficient time prior to the day.
