Louise studied Music at the University of Huddersfield, graduating in 2013. At University, she was a member of the University Choir and Chamber Choir, and a soloist in St Nicholas by Benjamin Britten, with the University Choir. She was also a soloist in the University’s 2012 production ‘The Fairy Queen’ and performed as part of a duo with the Chamber Choir at the York Early Music Centre.Louise was taught by Andrew Slater, Rachel Nicholls, Ruth Yarborough and Maria Bovino and now studies with composer & conductor Tim Knight. While studying, Louise won the British Composer Class at the Harrogate Music Festival in 2011, and went on to win the Recital Class in 2013. She is also an experienced Chorister and is part of the choir at Christ Church, Harrogate, having achieved the RSCM Gold Award. Recent engagements this year include a recital at St John’s The Baptist in Chester & a solo concert for the 2019 York Festival of Ideas. Louise was also the concert soloist for the Huddersfield Choral Society for their performance of Faure's Requiem in June 2019, working with their conductor Gregory Batsleer. Last year Louise performed at the Leeds Festival of Remembrance & is a regular guest soloist for the Leeds Male Voice Choir. Upcoming engagements include Horsforth Choral Society for Faure’s Requiem in November & recitals in 2020, at Halifax Minster on Thursday 12th March, Otley Courthouse on 9th April, Headingley Enterprise & Arts Centre (HEART) 29th April, Huddersfield Parish Church on Saturday 11th July & Bridlington Priory on Saturday 4th July. Louise specialises in mainly early music, but also sings traditional folk song & 20th century repertoire.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know as soon as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer an iPod service for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

Roughly 1.5 hours, warmup time before performance is essential.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, I am open to any song choice.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Access to a piano is preferred but not essential.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, at £10 per piece
