Lost in Space is a high-energy 7-piece band that fuses powerful female vocals with a lively mix of brass, folk instruments, percussion, electric guitar, bass, and drums. They've been electrifying dance floors across Cornwall and Devon with their unpredictable blend of upbeat and off-beat tunes for over 10 years. Their eclectic repertoire spans a range of genres, including ska, funk, folk-punk, disco, pop, and country, all with a twist. Many songs are inventive reworkings of familiar classics, while others are original compositions with quirky themes like alien invasions, werewolf weddings, and premature burials. With several multi-instrumentalists on board, Lost in Space effortlessly transitions from a vibrant big-band sound featuring sax, trumpet, and trombone, to a more intimate folk feel with fiddle, accordion, clarinet, and the occasional mandolin or flute. Each performance is a fun, genre-defying adventure that never fails to surprise.

We hired lost in space for a wedding reception party held in our garden. What a fantastic evening! The music was superb and the dance floor was rammed full all the time. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are looking for a band, please look them up and go to one of their gigs, you will not be disappointed. We had guests from both Canada and America who had never heard of this genre of music, we couldn't stop them from dancing! Thank you Lost in space for the most memorable party, people will be talking about this event for ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you. A brilliant time had by all thanks to you guys.

Big thankyou to Lost in space for playing at our wedding at Woodland Cafe. You were incredible and kept the crowd dancing for the whole time. I was knackered after! If you want a great party and and like ska, reggae and balkan beats this is the band for you! My friend loved you so much she wants to become your roady!

Do you have different line-up options?

Generally we play as a 7-piece, but do sometimes play as a 6-piece with male vocals only.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like to use our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £75. We would normally suggest that you prepare the playlists.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 2 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 4m by 3m space to perform

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £100 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
