In 2022, someone at Glastonbury dared me to learn to DJ. A year later I was playing the Greenpeace stage and talking about it with Lauren Laverne on BBC 6Music. Twice. I'm Lucy, a Sheffield DJ with residencies at Sisters of Sound and Art of House, plus my own night, Looped. I've played Wi-Ki-Woo and Itaca in Ibiza, Henge in Brixton and venues across Sheffield including Yellow Arch Studios, Network and The Victoria. My roots are in house music, but at weddings, birthdays and parties, from Hagglers Corner to The Victoria, I play whatever gets your crowd moving. That means house, disco, soul, funk, pop, indie and 80s and 90s classics, blended seamlessly with the songs that matter to you. The aim is a night that sounds like yours, not a playlist that could belong to anyone. Before your event we'll talk through the music you love, the tracks you have to hear and anything you'd rather I avoided. Send me your must-plays in advance and I'll get hold of any I don't already have, then use them as a springboard and read the room on the night. Requests on the night are welcome too, though I can't download tracks mid-set, so anything unusual is best sent beforehand. I can bring a PA and microphone, so speeches and announcements are covered and a venue without in-house sound is no problem. I'm fully insured with £1m professional indemnity and £5m public liability, with certificates available for venues that need them. For bars, clubs and festivals I play funky house, tech house and electro built for the room. You can hear those sets on my Mixcloud. I'm based in Sheffield and happy to travel anywhere for the right event, with travel costs included in your quote.
