About Loïc

Loïc is a post-grade student in the Royal Academy of Music
Tuba
London

Loïc has started learning music in Nice (France), with Bruno Zambon until he obtained a Diplôme d’Études Musicales with honours in 2011. After this last year he decided to become a professional tuba player and to interrupt his ongoing studies in computer sciences. He entered the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Versailles to continue learning tuba with David Zambon. He obtained there another Diplôme d’Études Musicales in 2013 and a Prix de Perfectionnement in 2015, both with honours. Meanwhile, Loïc had been early and deeply involved in orchestral activities. Among other things, he was member of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, coached by London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) members, conducted by Krystian Jarvi and François-Xavier Roth. He was also proposed to play with professional orchestras, such as the Orchestre Philarmonique de Nice, and the Festival international d’art lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence for stage music alongside the LSO. To perfect his orchestral skills in his last years in France, he has attended an orchestral academy in Paris, Orchestre atelier Ostinato. He was conducted by Mike Seal and Jean-Luc Tingaud, and coached by soloists from various Parisian orchestras. At the end of this formation he obtained a degree as a professional orchestral musician. Recently, Loïc was awarded a scholarship to enter Patrick Harrild’s class at the Royal Academy of Music in London, to obtain a Master degree and complete his education.
