Verified profile

I am known as a multi instrumentalist, from a very young age I was studying piano and flute at my local school which influenced me to pursue a further education within music. Over the years, my musical ambition had driven me to learning a further two instruments which included the tenor saxophone & the pedal harp. Once I had achieved my various degrees from college, I went straight into working on the P&O cruise ships as a musician. During my ship contracts I was auditioning for Universities and Conservatoires, which is when I decided to accept a place at the University of Southampton studying a BA in Music. Since graduating with a high 2:1, I stayed to work within the Hampshire area for a few years getting involved within various music projects & bands. Since 2021, I have relocated to Bristol and I am now exploring the wonderful music scene and their venues within Gloucester, Somerset, Wiltshire and Wales surroundings.

Lizzy's Song list

Harp arrangements of 1900-1050’s music:
A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square
Beautiful Dreamer
Can't help lovin’ that man
Cheek to cheek
Come fly with me
Don’t sit under the apple tree
Every time we say goodbye
Fly me to the moon
God bless the child
Hallelujah, I just love him so
I only have eyes for you
I'll be seeing you
In the wee small hours of the morning
It had to be you
It’s only a paper moon
La vie en rose
Let’s do it
Let’s misbehave
Lollipop
Love me tender
Lullaby of birdland
Mambo Italiano
Night and day
Puppy love
Put your head on my shoulders
Smile
Someone to watch over me
The sunny side of the street
The way you look tonight
The white cliff of Dover
Volare
We’ll meet again
When I fall in love
You do something to me
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1960’s music:
All my loving
All you need is love
Are you lonesome tonight?
At last
Be my baby
Blue Bossa
Can't take my eyes off you
Can’t help falling in love
Crazy
Daydream believer
Everybody loves somebody
Feeling Good
Georgia
God only knows
Here comes the sun
I say a little prayer
I’ve got you babe
In the midnight hour
It’s now or never
L-O-V-E
My girl
My Way
Only you
Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps
Save the last dance for me
Sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Song for my father
Stand by me
The first time ever I saw your face
Under the boardwalk
Uptight (Everything's Alright)
What a wonderful world
What the world needs now is love
Will you still love me tomorrow
Words
You really got me
Your love keeps lifting me higher and higher
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1970’s music:
Ain’t no sunshine
Always on my mind
Baby, I love your way
Bridge over troubled water
Copacabana
Crazy little thing called love
Heaven must be missing angels
Hooked on a feeling
How sweet it is
I’ll be there
I’m in the mood for dancing
In the summertime
Is this love
Isn’t she lovely
Just the way you are
Lean on me
Let it be
Love is in the air
Signed, sealed, delivered I’m yours
Somebody to love
Songbird
Summer breeze
Sunny
Sweet home Alabama
The rose
The things we do for love
They long to be close to you
Three times a lady
Voulez- vous
We are family
We are the champions
Wonderful tonight
You are so beautiful
You’re my best friend
Your song
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1980’s music:
Africa
All night long
Baby, I love you
Celebration
Could you be loved
Feels like I’m in love
Got my mind set on you
Hallelujah
I wanna dance with somebody
I want to break free
Nothing’s gonna stop us now
Someone like you
The best
Three little birds
You make my dreams come true
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1990’s music:
A million love songs
Amazed
Angels
Are you ready for love
Everlong
Fields of gold
Get Here
I can see clearly now
I do it for you
I don’t want to miss a thing
November rain
Songbird
Tears in heaven
When you say nothing at all
Wonderwall
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 2000’s music:
All about you
All of me
Better together
Everything
Halo
Hey there Delilah
I gotta feeling
I'm yours
No one
One love
Party in the USA
Still D.R.E.
The book of love
The closest thing to crazy
Thousand Miles
To make you feel my love
Valerie
You raise me up
You've got the love
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 2010-2020’s music:
Best day of my life
Better half of me
Clown

See you again

I’m a believer
I’ve had the time of my life
In Dreams
Lavender blue
Married Life
Moon River
My favourite thing
Never enough
Once upon a dream
Over the rainbow
Perfect day
So this is love
Some day my prince will come
Somewhere over the rainbow
The bare necessities

Lizzy played beautifully and timed the music so well for when people were walking down the aisle to ensure there were no gaps. She also played during our drinks reception whilst guests had canapés & drinks which sounded beautiful in the background. The build up to the wedding she was also great, she emailed me on the process of picking out songs and the song I chose to walk down the aisle to wasn't actually on her music list but when I enquired with her she said she was able to do it for me. Highly recommend.

Thanks Lizzy for making the time to support our charity and play so beautifully at our wedding in Portsmouth on the 24th April 2017. The bride and groom were overwhelmed by your generosity as it was such an important part of their day."

There has always been a good jazz scene in Southampton. At present time it's very exciting due to the strength of the young musicians. One multi - talented player is Lizzy Bennie, she acquits herself to the highest levels with her vocals and sax playing. A real highlight is Lizzy playing Harp and vocalising as a very recent concert for Southampton Mencap proved . Both music and the rapport with the audience were very high indeed. I feel I could book this young lady into any jazz or associated music situation, a great talent for now and a jazzy future!
