Verified profile

Lizzy is a performer who provides live music for private bookings. She creates a luxurious atmosphere that adds a stylish elegance to your event. Not only is she available as a singing harpist, with or without a backing band but she can also be booked to perform as a soloist on her saxophone or flute. Whether you are planning a exclusive garden party or a fairy tale wedding, Lizzy will offer the perfect ambience for your event. She is a freelance musician who works within the Bristol, Hampshire & London area. Why choose Lizzy as a harpist? Lizzy performs on a smaller Pilgrim's pedal harp which is the perfect size for any intimate setting. It may be smaller than your average orchestral harp but it can produce a full sound that will generate a unique & calming atmosphere for both inside or out of your venue. As Lizzy's harp is portable, it will suit any type of venue even those which may have limited available space. Lizzy is covered by public liability insurance & all of her equipment has up to date PAT testing. If you wish, between Lizzy's performance sets, she can provide background music through her transportable amp to fill the silence in her break. Past Venues of performance: House of Commons, Royal Albert Hall, Chichester Jazz Festival, Turner Sims, Talking Heads, The Concorde Club, 02 Guildhall, Winchester Cathedral, Aurora (P&O), Oceana (P&O), Royal Southern Yacht Club, Royal Southampton Yacht Club, Lymington Town Sailing Club, Southampton City Art Gallery, Gunwharf Quays, Goodwood Fashion Show, L K Bennett, Brasserie Blanc, Old Thorns Manor Hotel Golf and Country Estate, Southampton Harbour Hotel, Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton Art House, Portsmouth Cathedral, The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Harp arrangements of 1900-1050’s music:
A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square
Beautiful Dreamer
Can't help lovin’ that man
Cheek to cheek
Come fly with me
Don’t sit under the apple tree
Every time we say goodbye
Fly me to the moon
God bless the child
Hallelujah, I just love him so
I only have eyes for you
I'll be seeing you
In the wee small hours of the morning
It had to be you
It’s only a paper moon
La vie en rose
Let’s do it
Let’s misbehave
Lollipop
Love me tender
Lullaby of birdland
Mambo Italiano
Night and day
Puppy love
Put your head on my shoulders
Smile
Someone to watch over me
The sunny side of the street
The way you look tonight
The white cliff of Dover
Volare
We’ll meet again
When I fall in love
You do something to me
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1960’s music:
All my loving
All you need is love
Are you lonesome tonight?
At last
Be my baby
Blue Bossa
Can't take my eyes off you
Can’t help falling in love
Crazy
Daydream believer
Everybody loves somebody
Feeling Good
Georgia
God only knows
Here comes the sun
I say a little prayer
I’ve got you babe
In the midnight hour
It’s now or never
L-O-V-E
My girl
My Way
Only you
Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps
Save the last dance for me
Sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Song for my father
Stand by me
The first time ever I saw your face
Under the boardwalk
Uptight (Everything's Alright)
What a wonderful world
What the world needs now is love
Will you still love me tomorrow
Words
You really got me
Your love keeps lifting me higher and higher
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1970’s music:
Ain’t no sunshine
Always on my mind
Baby, I love your way
Bridge over troubled water
Copacabana
Crazy little thing called love
Heaven must be missing angels
Hooked on a feeling
How sweet it is
I’ll be there
I’m in the mood for dancing
In the summertime
Is this love
Isn’t she lovely
Just the way you are
Lean on me
Let it be
Love is in the air
Signed, sealed, delivered I’m yours
Somebody to love
Songbird
Summer breeze
Sunny
Sweet home Alabama
The rose
The things we do for love
They long to be close to you
Three times a lady
Voulez- vous
We are family
We are the champions
Wonderful tonight
You are so beautiful
You’re my best friend
Your song
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1980’s music:
Africa
All night long
Baby, I love you
Celebration
Could you be loved
Feels like I’m in love
Got my mind set on you
Hallelujah
I wanna dance with somebody
I want to break free
Nothing’s gonna stop us now
Someone like you
The best
Three little birds
You make my dreams come true
---------------------------------------------------------------
Harp arrangements of 1990’s music:
A million love songs
Amazed
Angels
Are you ready for love
Everlong
Fields of gold
Get Here
I can see clearly now
I do it for you
I don’t want to miss a thing
November rain
Songbird
Tears in heaven
When you say nothing at all
Wonderwall

The book of love
The closest thing to crazy
Thousand Miles
To make you feel my love

You raise me up
You've got the love

Lizzy responded promptly to our last minute request, communication was excellent and she completely fulfilled the brief, even though we wanted something she was unfamiliar with. She even offered to supply a recording as a keepsake. She is extremely talented, she plays and sings beautifully. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

We booked Lizzy for our wedding reception. She was extremely friendly and professional. We had a good chat discussing playlist options. She also went out of her way to bring some mini harps for people to take selfies if anyone wanted any. The music was amazing and even better in person. A lot of guests complimented us personally about how good she was and found it to be a pleasant surprise. We thought it was a really good touch to set a calm but warm atmosphere and she got it spot in. She also enquired about our theme colours so she could match. It’s details like that which make us value her service. We highly recommend her and will use her again if another opportunity came up.

Lizzy played at our son’s wedding a few days ago and it was absolutely fabulous. Hearing the harp music whilst waiting for the bride and again as the ceremony concluded added a real elegant touch to the day. My son and new wife particularly liked it when Lizzy played their special song as the ceremony was coming to a close. A special mention to the fact that we had to postpone the wedding by a whole year due to Covid restrictions but everything ran smoothly despite that. We would definitely recommend Lizzy to anybody thinking of booking a harpist, worth every single penny. Thank you Lizzy and Encore team.

Thanks Lizzy for making the time to support our charity and play so beautifully at our wedding in Portsmouth on the 24th April 2017. The bride and groom were overwhelmed by your generosity as it was such an important part of their day."

There has always been a good jazz scene in Southampton. At present time it's very exciting due to the strength of the young musicians. One multi - talented player is Lizzy Bennie, she acquits herself to the highest levels with her vocals and sax playing. A real highlight is Lizzy playing Harp and vocalising as a very recent concert for Southampton Mencap proved . Both music and the rapport with the audience were very high indeed. I feel I could book this young lady into any jazz or associated music situation, a great talent for now and a jazzy future!
