Lizzie began studying the violin at the age of 7 later taking up a place at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Junior department where she studied under Kathryn Hardman. At a young age she showed great interest in performance, this was developed through working with many different orchestras including the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain. After being awarded the Morfydd Owen String scholarship, she began studying music for a BMus Hons degree at Cardiff University studying the violin under Kathryn Hardman and Lowri Porter. During her final years at University Lizzie worked with Welsh National Youth Opera on a tasked project as part of a string quartet. Throughout her years of study she has played with many orchestras including acquiring positions such as principal 2nd of National Youth Chamber Orchestra and the leader of Cardiff University Symphony Orchestra. Lizzie then went on to study for her Postgraduate performance diploma at Trinity Laban conservatoire of Music and Dance, studying the violin under John Crawford before taking up her place at the Royal College of Music studying under Gaby Lester for Masters in Music Performance. Lizzie is available to perform at any event – weddings/birthday parties/ family celebrations/ corporate events and is also available for recitals. Lizzie can be booked to perform as a soloist, as part of a duo/trio or quartet. Lizzie is also available for live sessions, recording and studio sessions. She has performed for various TV shows including Britain’s Got Talent. Lizzie can be hired to play acoustic or electric violin. Lizzie plays a Hart violin made in 1896 and a Bridge Electric Violin.
