Lisa recorded her new album in 2018/2019 which is about to be released, to reinspire her creativity following an accident in 2015, which resulted in a hiatus to recover. She says she chose these songs due to their expressive and emotional context and the emotional connection she has with them. “These songs stir emotions in me and bring a flood of memories of places & people”. From a young age Lisa feel in love with music in particularly blues and Jazz The songs depict different kinds of love – Sister Love, Love of the world, Missing love, being in Love etc. “The lyrics express the joy and heartache of love, Juxtaposed with uplifting music. Whether you’re in love or alone these songs touch your soul in different ways and I hope my reinterpretation will inspire the listener and create new memories for lovers. The modern remake of the classic punk rock song Should I stay or Should I go seemed a perfect fit for the album subject matter emotion, expression & of course love! Taking such a classic punk rock song and transforming it into the blues jazz number was exciting and I am thrilled with the outcome” Art in all its forms allows us to express our emotions through its mediums and enables us to connect with people and the world. This album is about connecting, expressing and reinspiring both me and the listeners.
