Lily is a spirited English cellist who is exploring the rich musical life of London. From 2009 she studied at the Birmingham Junior Conservatoire where she gained a DIPABRSM in performance. Lily accepted a bachelor’s degree from the Royal College of Music London in 2018, where she studied with Alexander Chaushian. Lily has performed at the Queen’s Gallery Buckingham Palace, Royal Festival Hall, Latitude Music Festival, St John’s Smith Square, and as soloist with the Royal Sutton Coldfield Orchestra, as well as in various concerts for the RCM. As cellist for the Maconchy Quartet and Cat’s Cradle Collective, she is a passionate chamber musician, and loves performing from a historically informed perspective as well as being surprised by innovative new music and the mixing of genres. Lily plays a contemporary Italian Cello made in 2017 by Fabio Piagentini.
