We recently booked Lewis for a private function. He arrived very prompt and was very professional throughout by introducing himself to us all and keeping in dialogue through the event. His song choice was excellent and kept us all engaged. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

"“Lewis played for us at our wedding in the ceremony. He played a music at the signing of the register as well as when we were getting photo's taken. He is easy to work with and communicate with and understood exactly the style and feel we were after for our wedding. I would highly recommend him.’" Bride from a wedding, 2018

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not a problem. I understand that things can change at the last minute so i'm always prepared for every scenario. If timings should change, just let me know at the earliest.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Of course. A pre-determined playlist can be arranged keeping with the same genres as my performance so that there's never a gap in-between and there's always music available when required.

How much time do you need to set up?

Normally at least 1 hour prior to the start of the event. This allows sufficient time to get all equipment in as well as ensure everything is suitably placed for the client as well as introductions etc.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course. The set list is varied and pieced together from many previous performances however if there's anything specific you'd like me to learn, just ask, not a problem.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Absolutely. All equipment is provided by myself. All i need is access to a plug and a bit of space to set up and we're good to go!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes this can be done. If there are any songs or instrumentation that you'd like at the event, we can learn these for an extra £25 for 3 songs upwards.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My ability to read the audience and gauge the mood with them so i know what to play and when's appropriate to play them. Once I've engaged with the audience, I can keep them on retention until the end of the performance.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've appeared at various venues over the past 12 months from the central belt to the borders. Venue's range from The Hilton Glasgow, The Novotel, Glasgow, Hetland Hall, Dumfries to Kinell Byre, St Andrews.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Strangely the only reason I picked up a guitar was to learn Metallica. Although my love for that genre is still there, there's something very appealing about acoustic instrumentation and how you can take any song from any genre and it works. From there, I began being influenced by the likes of Bryan Adams, Pete Murray, Newton Faulkner and David Gray.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Performing at the Royal Concert Hall a few years back is definitely a highlight. In one of Scotland's most prestigious venues, I performed alongside a solo singer, Lucy Kerr doing a cover of Eva Cassidy's 'Over the Rainbow' to a standing ovation. A memory that will last for a very long time!
