Laurie is the founder of the legendary Sassenachs Ceilidh Band in London. Prior to this project, he worked for years with Scottish based Sporran Again. He is known for his clear and concise teaching style, as well as adaptability with clients using different communication styles when either walking or talking through the steps. Most recently he's been performing and teaching for the King's Day UK Embassy celebration in Ethiopia and for the Dawn of the God's Ball (A gauntlet and gowns event) New Years Eve Party in Liverpool.

What an excellent dancing experience! The teacher was clear and approachable, made the dancing easy to understand and was walking throughout the hall to help show us what to do and to help find solo dancers partners. A brilliantly fun time had by all, I enjoyed dancing with friends and strangers alike. Also was quick to accommodate my friend with a cane and advise how best to join in. Brilliant experience!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible, If timings change a bit in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Of course yes! With a Pa set up, it can be yours to use throughout my stay.

How much time do you need to set up?

I normally ask for 45mins.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I normally use my experience to pick the best dances suitable for the guests on the night but of course very happy to discuss if there are particular dances you do or do not want!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

All equipment can be provided yes.
